Pop Artist Howie Green came to international attention with the publication of his first book "Jazz Fish Zen: Adventures in Mamboland", (Charles Tuttle Publishing).
Howie's art has been featured in over 50 solo and group shows and he has painted more than 100 murals and public art projects for numerous clients including Boston City Hall, Mellow Mushroom and the Boston Red Sox. Howie's design and illustration work has won over 40 awards for international clients including IBM, Hewlett Packard, Coca-Cola, CBS Television, LL Bean, PBS and others. Howie's portrait 'Madonna Smoking' is featured in the British art Book "Madonna in Art" by Mem Mehmet. Howie created collectible figures for the Cow Parade Boston and Trail of the Painted Ponies and painted Mr. Monopoly live on Facebook for Hasbro Toys. Howie won the Absolut Vodka 25th Anniversary Art Award in Boston, was a finalist in the Volkswagen Polo International Design Competition and designed an elephant for the Bangkok Elephant Parade public art event. Recent projects include the first illustrated edition of the HG Wells classic “The Invisible Man” (Simon & Schuster), a 24” collectible figure for fashion designer Paul Frank, a fox for the Town of Foxboro, MA, a mural for the East Rochester, NY Public Library, a Summer Solstice mural for the Harvard Museum of Natural History and 6 cows for the Cow Parade New England 2023. |
About the Gallery
The Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Gallery calls for local visual artists to submit samples of their work to be showcased in a gallery setting inside the theater on a bi-monthly basis. Our gallery is located at: 1 School Street, Foxborough, MA. We will continue to present local artists working in a variety of mediums with curated themes and companion events featuring local performers, speakers and businesses. Members of the public are invited to visit the gallery during upcoming ticketed events and on specific event nights designed to foster an inspirational experience while enjoying beverages from our concession area and mingling with other local creatives. Upcoming dates will be announced as they are finalized. All are welcome! |
