Reimagining the Heart of Uptown Foxborough
YOU helped us exceed our fundraising goal of $81,000!
The Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center (MRPAC) has been a cornerstone of Uptown Foxborough for nearly a century, offering high-quality arts entertainment and youth programming that enriches our community. Thanks to YOUR overwhelming support and a generous $81,000 matching grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, we are thrilled to announce that we have exceeded our fundraising goal for the Reimagine the Arts Uptown campaign!
This campaign was more than just maintaining our historic building—it was about preserving the legacy of the arts in Foxborough and ensuring that our beloved theater continues to thrive for generations to come. With the funds raised, we are positioned to revitalize the MRPAC, making it more welcoming and accessible. Together, we have reimagined what this theater can be, and we are excited to share the plans of its revitalization with you.

The $226,755 raised through the Reimagine the Arts Uptown campaign will be used to address several critical areas of our building:
- Facade and Trim Repairs: The facade of our historic theater has seen better days. We will restore it to its original beauty, ensuring that the building remains structurally sound while preserving its historical charm. The trim will be repaired, giving the theater a fresh, inviting appearance.
- Walkway and Entryway Improvements: The pavement leading up to our entrance has become uneven over the years, creating potential hazards and accessibility challenges. We will level and resurface the walkway, making it safer and more welcoming for all patrons. Additionally, our entryways will be updated to meet ADA and local code compliance standards, ensuring that everyone can easily and comfortably enter the theater.
- Aesthetic Enhancements: In addition to these essential repairs, we will be upgrading the theater’s aesthetics to reflect its importance to the Uptown area. This includes a new coat of paint, enhanced lighting, and improved signage that will proudly display our name and welcome visitors.
The renovations will have a profound impact on both our theater and the wider Uptown Foxborough community:
- With a revitalized exterior, our theater will offer a more welcoming and enjoyable experience for the 18,000 patrons who visit us each year. Whether they are attending a show, participating in a program, or simply passing by, everyone will feel the renewed energy and preserved charm of the MRPAC.
- As Foxborough continues to grow and develop, our theater will play a key role in the vibrancy of Uptown. A visually enhanced building exterior will attract more visitors to the area, benefiting local businesses and contributing to the economic and cultural vibrancy of our community.
- The improvements will also allow us to host an even wider range of events and performances, attracting more diverse and high-quality programming to Foxborough. The revitalized MRPAC will continue to be a hub for creativity, self-expression, and community connection.
Thank You for Reimagining the Arts with Us!
We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of the Reimagine the Arts Uptown campaign. Your generosity and support have made it possible to preserve and enhance YOUR community theater. We would like to extend a special thank you to our major donors, partners, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council for their matching grant, which significantly amplified the impact of every donation.
